Rev. C. Varaprasad and his wife, Pastor Hepzibah Vara, arrived in Raichur in 1993 to pioneer a church planting ministry. They spent much time in prayer and began the Agape Assembly of God Church in Raichur, North Karnataka, South India.
Today, nearly 400 people gather in the main church, and many branch churches have been planted in Raichur and the surrounding villages. Pastor Varaprasad is not only a Bible teacher but also an evangelist and itinerant preacher, traveling across India and globally to preach in conferences, gospel, and healing meetings.
The church actively ministers through village outreach, youth programs, children’s ministry, and social welfare services that bring real impact to society. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, many lives have been transformed, with people being saved, baptized, and discipled.
Our vision emphasizes prayer, the Word of God, the local church, discipleship, and church planting. Over the years, we have trained and equipped laypeople, untrained pastors, and believers through small programs. These disciples are involved in village ministries, outreach, house-to-house fellowships, and more.
Many of these trained disciples have now gone on to start ministries across Karnataka. Even today, our church continues to operate in the apostolic calling—through prayer, the Word, preaching the Gospel, and planting churches. We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Our desire is to lift up the name of Jesus wherever we go. Let His name be glorified. Amen.
